James 1:17 says that “Every good and perfect gift is from above.” This means that every good thing - from the food we eat to the friends in our lives – all of this comes to us as a gift from God. What does it mean, then, for us to take good care of these gifts? How do we enjoy these gifts and use them as God desires?
For the next six weeks we’ll be walking through a series called “A Lifestyle of Stewardship”, thinking together about what it means to take care of all the gifts that God has entrusted to us. But this isn’t your conventional church stewardship series. We’ll ask what does it mean to be good stewards of the environment, of sex, and of our time? And we’ll find answers by looking at all of life as a gift given to us by God.
