The Life of Jacob

By | June 8, 2010

Do you ever feel like fighting with God?  Or like your family life is a mess?  Or that the person you love is out of reach?  Jacob knew these feelings, and many more.  This summer, Upper Room will be studying the life of Jacob together.  As we walk through passages from Genesis 25 to 35, we’ll encounter themes of family life, reconciliation, prayer, birth and death, blessing, and wrestling with God.  We’ll see what it means for God to be on the side of the underdog and to show grace and mercy to the least likely.  And we’ll look at how the life of Jacob foreshadows the grace shown to the world in Jesus Christ.    So come join us this summer.  The passage we’ll look at each week can be found in each Sunday’s entry on Upper Room’s calendar.
